i took my 150 vro down to the water as u all know i have posted many post with different issues and question and still havent found the problems

first i took the motor to the water and tried to start and sounded like it you try to start and it would back fire and shut off

when it did this it would blow a big cloud of mist out of the pee hole

especially if motor had any tilt to it
it will not start if the motor is tiltet

finally got it cranked after many times of this and was running smooth but abot only 3-400 rpm like after a while it stoped missing and picked up rmp
was fine for about 2 hours
#6 cyclinde was rebuilt not broken in yet 75lbs of comp lowest
went back to dock to eat lunch could not get it to start and when it would it would shut off
i think it is a possible fuel problem

help me not buy a nother engine

Sounds like your flywheel is not torqued down. Might as well get a new key while you are checking it.

Re: back fire/ miss fire

Backfiring out of the exhaust port is caused by having the ignition system fire a particular cylinder when the exhaust port is open ( ie piston down). This would sound like a shotgun going off..... is this the condition that you're experiencing?

This is usually due to a sheared flywheel key, a flywheel with melted (moved) center sensor magnets if they exist, timer base leads routed incorrectly to the powerpack, or having the leads from the powerpack to the coils reversed to mention a few.

tell the shop about the flywheel, don't make them waste time and money, searching.
