Back-flip dismount onto the ramp

I drove the boat onto the trailer, attached the winch line, and sat down on the bow while my buddy drives up the ramp, but stopped sooner than I expected. I'm reaching for any kind of hand-hold but all I can get is the trolling motor shaft - didn't want to bend or break it so I let go. Caught the trailer winch on the way down, which broke my fall but luckily nothing else. There was a pretty good audience in line for the ramp, and I got quite a few comments on my dismount. Got a little scratched up but otherwise no injuries.

This happened at the end of spring break a couple weeks ago - 5 days on the lake and this is one of only two stupid human tricks, the other being forgetting to pull up the anchor before taking off WOT. Not a bad ratio for me.

Guess you made sure that your buddy now understand how to do his part of it?
