well after she fought me all the way, i have finally brought life back to the engine. She ran for the first time since???? The last registration was in 88. Although the fueling mishap yesterday set me back a whole day to allow the 3 gallons to evaporate and the fumes to go away. I replaced the fuel filler tube and reconnected a couple of other lines, I put a few gallons of gas in and primed her up. Connected the hose and cranked and cranked and cranked. LIFE finally. Now just to figure out how to adjust the shift so it starts while in the nuetral position. thanks to all who have answered my stupid newbee questions and who have given me encouragement. the iboats forum crowd is the best.
