Back up battery storage/mounting in V bottom dry storage

I've bought a second battery for my 14ft v-bottom. I plan to keep it charged but not hooked up unless necessary. I plan to store it in the front bows dry storage but I don't want the battery to bang up my aluminum hull (which is exposed). I was thinking I could build a wooden table that fits into the V and sit the battery on top of it. I'd then strap the battery to that table.

Was wondering if anyone else has done this or had other ideas?

Thanks,

Pics of the interior of your current setup would greatly help the members help you with your issue.;)

Ayuh,.... Welcome Aboard,.... Batteries don't take a beatin' so well,...

That's why they're usually in the aft, 'n not in the bow....
