I had my boat towed in by a marina after it wouldnt start and then hydrolocked... * first i cleared the water from cylinders and tried starting it .. no go.. so they towed in and pulled out of water. Checking over the boat they didnt tell me any reason for the hydolock.. they didnt see the water so they said it was OK... they did get it started and test drove it and now they say it is backfiring??? i didnt have a problem with that before.. and need to know why they wont check for water entering the cylinders.. why is it backfiring and could the water(hydrolock ) just have been from one heavy wave day at the dock or during the launch 3 days earlier? and what about bad gas .. could that be my starting and backfire problem.. or something more serious like a head gasket???? i m so confused!
