Hello,
Last weekend I did a test using a tub of water. I had water covering the water intake and covering half of the exhaust trim tab. As I tryed to start, the motor turned over and it ran for about one second then a loud backfire and shut off. So I tryed again, the same thing happend. So I tryed a third time, it turned over and starting running fine. I ran it for about 5 minutes at differnt rpms. It ran smooth, no missing, spuddering, or anything else, just smoked alot. Really smoked at about 3000 rpms. I'm running 5o:1
Is there anything to be worried about with the backfiring? What may have caused this?
Thanks,
Tom
