I have a 1982 60 hp Evinrude outboard, serial # J0115126. I just discovered that the main<br />wiring harness in the engine compartment, (with Big Red connector), is falling apart. The wires are Corroded and the insulation is cracked and falls apart when touched. It has never been in salt water. I am the original owner. Was there ever a recall on this wiring harness? What could<br />have caused this problem? I change the plugs yearly and have not noticed this problem before. It was serviced just this past fall by a dealer and he did not mention any wiring problems.<br />Is this wiring harness still available? <br />Thanks.
