Bad case of winter blues

Is it just me? It is only early December and already all I seem to be doing is daydreaming of springtime and getting my boat back in the water. I find myself looking at pictures from last summer and surfing the boating forums, but it only does so much to ease the pain. I bought a few goodies this winter (new stainless steel prop and a new stereo) to feed my habit, but it really isn't working. Drinking helps too, but only for a little while. Do I need therapy? Anyone else so addicted to boating?

Right with you there. Can't wait till spring. Going to purchase a Garmin 441s today. So that might help. But also thinking that is is 28 degree outside and just the thought of being in a boat in this weather outside hurts my joints. :)
But I am looking forward to snowboard this winter. But, I am looking forward to boating after winter.

You're definitely not alone. Got a new tow rig this fall & I'm dying to drag the boat to some nice relaxing water somewhere!

ROAD TRIP TIME, T-Mines 33 more days and im towing the boat south for 10 days of Florida fishing. Sure hope they don?t have another cold front come through. Im so excited I already have the boat cleaned packed and ready to go. Only thing left to do is a quick dunk just for safe measures. Of course this leaves me enough time to unpack and repack 10 more times just to make sure I haven?t forgotten anything. I have it bad.

my winter blues are those of frustration--my boat is in the water and I am 15 minutes from good striper fishing with 3 weeks left in the season. But it has been blowing and too cold the last week, and will be the next; the fish aren't biting this year either. Our mild winter isn't so far!

Yep, for boating, Winter really sucks. Try to do projects, repairs, maintenance, but about run out of all that. May drag boat to Jacksonville over Christmas, but it's been darn cold down there too. Maybe I'll start hitting the booze to stay warm and happy!

In Minnesota, maybe the coldest place in the U.S. on any given day, I have no winter blues. I look forward to putting the boats to bed and getting out the snowmobiles. We've already had the most December snow since 1991. Talk about addicting.

Addicting? or have you just gone mad? :D Don't get me wrong, I like a good snow storm but other than Christmas and Thanksgiving I can definitely do without the white stuff.

Summer Fun - now thats a good way to look at things.

Got'um here to. 15-25 mph winds are keeping me off the lake.
