Last year I was on the river and I got caught right in the middle of a really bad T-storm. Imagine being on a river in an eletrical storm in a aluminum boat. The dock is a public dock with rocky silt area next to it. I had no choice but to run the boat onto the beach. I approached the beach at about 5mph and the prop was drug through the shallows making the engine bounch a bit until it stalled out. I have not had it out since that day so I dont know if anything is wrong. Everything looks fine and I am probably making it sound alot worse that what is was. Is there anything I should look for, such as the transom or the motor it self.

Re: Bad Day

Look for structural damage, but I doubt you'll find any. Check the gearlube now and especially after the first time operated. If there's internal damage, it'll show up as metal in the lube. Make sure the motor is off and in neutral and give the prop a spin. Look at the center of the propshaft and watch for wobble.
