Twin 2004 225 ev DI's. 138 hrs. Ran great at end of season (Dec). Gave it to the dealer to winterize and store with about 30-40 gallons left (20 in each tank, Tanks hold 129 each. Computer readout at end of season says no problems with engines. Compression checks all good, no water, etc. Added 200 gallons of fresh fuel just before launching in early April. Boat runs like crap. Both engines run rough and sometimes stall when giving gas and also when returning to idle. Dealer checked everything and says "Bad Gas". No water in either of the 2 fuel/watar seperators for each engine. Dealer says he conditioned the fuel that was left when storing. Anyone else have this problem??? What in the gas would cause this???

don't you just hate spending all that $$$ just in gas alone and not getting any satisfaction in return? I would think something in the fuel lines or primer bulbs or something but I don't know how dual engines and tanks are set up, I'm assuming each motor has it's own tank and lines and such so it does seem odd that they're both acting the same

USCG? naw just a river rat on the fishy Tennessee River. Dealer says "bad gas" then tell them to pump it out and buy you another 200 gallons especially since they did the winterizing in the first place. You don't suppose that it's just a coincidence in that they both need fuel systems overhauled do you? I know it's a pain working on one motor yet alone having TWO acting up. I just overhauled one motor and got the other's carbs just now rebuilt and ready to be bolted back on.

OK, are we sure he conditioned the fuel in the tank? Then did he run it long enough to get the conditioned fuel through the complete system? Or did he just add conditioner to the tank and let it go to storage?

GoTTwins
as u said .. u gave it to the dealer..he should
have taken that into consideration.. have him fix it ..at his cost. or fire the dealer...legal
action may be in order.. also
