So the boat sat for 6 years going on 7 just bought from my uncle it must at least have a half a tank of mixed gas in it it’s a Cajun fish and ski with the ol 88 spl.. anyway so should I siphon it as much as I can and just pour 93 octane in it? It’s a plastic tank was thinking about drilling a hole but I do t want to risk it leaking after trying to patch it

Were you thinking of using a " sparkless electric drill " ?? -----Just run the hose to a tank at ground level.---Remove fitting on end of hose.----Operate primer bulb and empty the main tank.-----No need to wear a parachute that way.

If you can stick the hose through the drain plug to the catch tank, Racer's way can be made a little faster to start the flow. Siphoning is still a slow operation.

If you have an access port for the gauge sender, take the sender off and look inside after the siphoning is done. After 6-7 years there is no telling what the gas has turned into. 93 octane is a waste of money because adding good gas to bad gas only makes more bad gas.

Burn it in your pick up, a little at a time -- once you get it out of the tank without torching yourself. I've used a Topsider to get the last of the nasties out of a built in tank, but that is probably not safe either (Topsider specifically says it's not for flammables.) You might be able to take the tank screen off to speed flow when siphoning.

If u can get to fuel tank sending unit easy, remove and buy or borrow a electric fuel pump. Add hoses stick hose in tank and pump out.

after 6-7 years, you may need to scrape out the remainder
