Bad power pack?

1979 85hp Evinrude 85999R

Took boat out this morning. Seemed to be running wierd. I couldn't get it to plane at all. THe rpms would climb to 4800 rpm but the boat just didn't seem to move, 30 mph was the fastest it would go. Got it home and I have no spark on the left side at all. THe right side has nice blue jumpy spark. I have new coils,wires, and plugs. Any ideas?

swap the pack from the other side to see if the no spark follows the pack.

thats what i would do. they are too expensive to just throw one in there.

Went ahead and swapped the power packs. Ended up having spark on the left side none on the right. Guess it's time to buy a power pack. Thanks for the help.
