Ok, so i had another thread going because i though i had a bad Fuel Selioid but after looking into the issue more i realized it was a spark issue and not a fuel issue. Long story short it was running rough and then it just stalled and from there i couldnt get it running but for maybe 3 seconds at the most at a time. So I went and bought a timing gun and hooked it up to each plug. On the left side i had the top cylinder firing but the middle and bottom were weak or didn't fire at all. On the right side the top and middle cylinder fired great but nothing out of the bottom. So i switched the power packs to see if the problems cylinders followed and when i hooked them up i got a whole different pattern so that tells me i have 2 screwy power packs. Does that sound right to anyone? I forgot to add this part - Its a 1985 Evinrude 150 hp V-6

Have you eliminated Plugs, wires, and coils by swicthing out ones you know work with the faulty ones.

Yes, i changed the plugs and wires when this problem first started. Befor it got worse to the point now where it wont start. Befor it was just running rough when it first started. And when i was testing the spark yesterday i also switched some of the coils to eliminate that as a posibility.

Re: Bad Spark Issue

ok, you can also check the stator by swicthing the ampehnol plugs that go from the stator to each power pack. Swich those plugs to the other power pack. If nothing changes then you know your stator is good. So, that would leave only the power packs. Im not completly sure so before you buy power packs maybe wait for some more input but sounds like thats you problem. Also make sure all connections where your power packs, and coils meet block are good.
