Hello. Just wondering if there might be some opinions concerning Baha boats out there. It seems to be of a different species than Baja. I might be looking at a 25' hardtop with a 5.0 mercruiser I/O. Thanks in advance!

Re: BAHA cruisers

The previous Baha cruiser has been out of business for quite some time.They were built in Mayo Fla.
I think some one bought the molds and now are producing new ones out of Mayo Fla.
Some written reports of the older ones if you just Google the boat.
Now this isn't the Baha that was made by Reggie Fountain. Baja, Fountian and Proline just came out of bankruptcy and some of the work has been moved to N.C
Baja was a Brunswick Marine built boat then sold to Reggie before he went bankrupt.

Boat's electrical system doesn't meet ABYC standards: wiring
no separate switches for bilge pumps
wood core isn't treated
Engine beds are cut for oil filters
Holding tank vent & bilge pump discharge aren't looped, could allow
water to back into boat. Corrugated hose used for bilge discharge.
Rudders aren't supported properly, could lead to failure.

Edit:::

I did a little digging and come to find out BAHA cruisers of mayo Florida had a fire at the factory and was closed down.
Building was repaired and has been sold to a non marine business.Some of the molds where destroyed. There was not much left but the name that is now up for sale
On some of these, Baha's never paid for the motors before the fire
