Hello,
We have a big tournament coming up and are at our wits end trying to figure out a bait well pump issue. First let me start by saying up until two days ago the bait well did not work at all. I was able to isolate the pump and connect it directly to the battery, it ran. Then removed the switch panel, removed the brown/blue wire that runs to the bait well pump, and ran a wire directly from the pump to the switch, it ran. So that tells me that the pump is good and that the switch is good. Is there an inline fuse somewhere that i may be missing? Or are my odds that there is a break in the wire somewhere? I followed the wire bundle from the pump to where it ends on the wall, where it then runs through a PVC tube, under the deck, and up and under the dash. I just cannot imagine how on earth the wire could have gotten chafed inside that tube. If anyone has ANY insight to this problem, or knows how i can test the brown/blue wire running from the pump for grounding out, let me know. Thank you.
