Hi guys I just bought a 2007 Key West 19 ft that has a 30 GL bait well but my concern is if I have to keep the bait well pump running in order to keep the live bait alive (sardines)...in other words, I am concern about running that pump with engine off and then kill the batteries ( I have two) ????? Sorry for my ignorance but I just don?t want to have to call towing services :D
Thank you
Peter

Re: Bait-well

If you have a separate deep cycle battery that is not connected to your engine, it should be fine. The engine battery should be hooked up only to the engine. Run your accessories off a separate deep cycle battery, and you should not have a problem. That is assuming you are not running a stereo, TV, laptop, etc. off the separate battery as well. :p
