I am looking at a 1986 26 Carver Santa Cruz. I can get the boat for 3 grand because they guy wants to off it NOW. Anyways there is rot coming out of the blower vent screw areas.

My family has a 42 1989 carver and its an absolutely wonderful boat and it doesn't have any problems like that. But does anyone know what it will take to fix rot like that?

JAZZ

your folks just don't know about the rot..
yet..

ALL boats at least close to 20 years old has rot.. if it's polyester resin fiberglass over wood.. especially balsa.. balsa has no rot stave-off at all.. it's a
sponge.. a waterlogged ROT sponge..

for 3 G's.. i'd by it an run-the-wheels off of it..

it's got alot a life left..

a boat that size ,,it's a dock party anyway..
