Went to Pier 6 in Baltimore last night. Pier 6 is a venue where concerts are performed. A band called Several Species played last night. They are a cover band for Pink Floyd. I was very impressed as I expected less.
We docked right across from the pier as they won't let you dock at that particular pier. Minor detail. We had to motor up the Chesapeake from the Bodkin which was about 1 hour 20 minutes. When we approached the harbor, there was a fireworks show at Fort McHenry. Police had the harbor blocked as they set the fireworks off from a barge in the middle of the river. We were forced to watch. The Bay was like glass, not a breathe of air which would have made it chilly. Nary a cloud in the sky; it was the perfect night to be out on the water.

Dang sounds fun, sometimes wish we had some boating like that. The water near us is just lakes out in the sticks, which is cool in its own respect, but sometimes just being able to dock and take the misses shopping or see a band, etc......

I once saw Baltimore Harbor fireworks from Federal Hill, which is across the harbor. Being on the hill made the fireworks; in your face. Looked very close.

I kind of miss my hometown.
