I have an older fiberglass bass boat that needs "spruced up". The top cap gelcoat is weathered bad & I want to refinish using a clear coating of some kind. Does anyone have a recommendation (polyurethane or epoxy) and manufacture (source)?

Re: Bass Boat Refinish

My skeeter had set up for 7yrs before I got it. It was oxidized preety bad. I had to wet sand a little over the real bad spots then I compounded the rest out with DRX 65 with a cotton pad. It looks nearly new now, only thing is you'll have to have more maintaince on the finish. Keep a good wax on it, and keep it out of the sun as much as possible when not in use.
