Bass Pro Shops Prowler 55 - What prop?

I have a Bass Pro Shop prowler 55lb trolling motor and I've damaged the prop. When I bought it I was told by the person at the store that it was made by Motorguid. It looks a lot like a motorguide, so I was wondering if a Motorguid prop will fit (They stock those everywhere). Any ideas?

I believe the MG prop will fit. They have two basic diameters. Take the old one off and with you to the store to make sure.

I have the Prowler 55lbs foot controlled motor from Bass Pro. The sales associate there told me a Motorguide prop would fit it. I haven't verified it by trying out an actual prop though. Let me know if you try it out.

The prop nut on MG, and expect Prowler, can tend to come loose. My son lost a prop on one of my transom motors. I recommend using a little blue rtv on the threads when you tighten down the new prop. It will keep the nut from backing off but not impede future prop removals. Also the pin may slide out of the shaft and get lost very easily. A touch of rtv to keep it centered and inplace helps, as well.

I got out to Bass Pro Shops, and the were out of Prowler props, but the salesman assured me that a motorguide prop would fit. I got it home and the Motor Guide Prop, as well as the nut do fit, but the pin that came with the motorguide prop would not fit in the hole.

So in short, yes a Motorguide prop will fit a Bass Pro Prowler trolling motor.
