I have a 1988 bass tracker 1800 fs with a 115 inline 6. It sat up for four years and I feel there’s trash in fuel tank. What is the best way to empty and clean the tank?

Once fuel is out, remove the fuel gauge sender. This will provide a bigger hole to work with. Can use water and flush it out, even power washer.

Remove gauge sender. Tilt the trailer nose up and force all residual gas and trash to rear of tank. Siphon out all liquid and let gasoline separate from water. If gasoline is clean and good, it may be reused.

Use a rag to get any dirt out of the tank.

There is possibly a filter in the tank on the fuel pickup, remove the fitting and check/clean.
