I was just recently given my first boat a Bass Tracker Tournament TX 17 (im not exactly sure what year but i am guessing 94-96).I dont know alot about boats but I am more than willing to learn. My question that i have is... I am getting power to the motor and it runs great but i dont have any power as far as acc. go. I cant get the bildge pump, aerator, or lights to come on at all.(someone stole the trolling motor and depth finder before i got it) I checked all the fuses and they are all good. Now I am stuck and have no idea as to what to do next any help would be greatly appreciated.... Thanks

Welcome to iboats......

Gee that sounds like you have a confusing electrical issue. I will sent this to that forum and there are some great wiring diagrams there. I would get a test light or a cheap meter to start tracing things.

Re: Bass Tracker Tournament TX 17

there are two electrical systems in the boat. 1) the large battery cables going to the engine feed the engine to control box harness. If the motor starts and runs ok, that system is ok. 2) There should be a smaller red and black wire on the battery as well. Those two wires consitute the "boat harness" and it is that circuit that feeds accessories. Those two wires should run up to a fuse or circuit breaker panel. Check to see if there is power to the fuse panel. If not, the problem is between the battery and the panel and there should be a fuse near the battery for that circuit. If you have power at the panel, then there are issues between the panel and the accessories.

Re: Bass Tracker Tournament TX 17

Thank you all for the help. i figured out what the problem was.... there was a red wire that someone had taped up to another wire. This, i believe, is the red wire that Silvertip had mentioned that went to the fuse panel. As for the trade Boss Hawg my grandfather left it for me when he passed away so it is kindof special to me... but thanks for the offer.
