I just bought a 14'7" bassmaster bassboat with a 35 mercury and I love it. Its a 90 model and its getting some years on it and things arent working quite right. I was wondering if anyone on here could help me with a horn situation. I have never heard the horn and I cant seem to find where the dang thing is located at. as of right now It doesnt work but there is a swith for it and the switch has power going to and from it. I was wondering if anyone knew where the horn is located, or if the boat even came with a horn. if it didnt come with one why is there a switch? thanks for helping

Dustin

Re: bassmaster horn

Boat that size wouldn't be required to come with a built in horn.Someone must have added it.

Can you trace the wires to find out where it's at? If they are cut, the previous owner may have pulled the horn for another boat.

Tom

Re: bassmaster horn

longdude, I too have a bassmaster and mine is a 16'er and my horn is up underneath the console on the left hand side.
Looks like a regular car horn.
If you have a horn button and it looks like all the rest of the switches, then it came on the boat.
Is it a toggle switch or regular button?
Mine is a toggle type switch.
Hope this helps.
