just got this new boat and i have never owned one before... learning a ton as i go along but have a question. got a 1973 evinrude 50. has a stator, rectifier and all that jazz. im not really sure what they all are but from research i have done it is kind of like an outboards alternator to run on board electronics. if this is true what kind of battery do i need??? a true deep cycle or a marine cranking battery? if the battery will get a constant charge from a 6 amp stator will a need a battery charger anyway?
