I found a short in my battery cable (hot), goes to the alternator and starter), I have got the new cable $$. Now Im stuck, because I dont have a ½ in deep socket. Ive cut the old cable apart in places
. silly me, Imp now in a jam. Ive got plenty of wrenches but dont have the room to use them. Could someone tell me if taking off the starter is going to be the trick? And am I capable of doing that? Hey, at least I found it! Is the starter going to fall into 15 pieces when I take it off
It looks like only two bolts holding it? Also a plastic thing with small wire attached, Im going to have to remove that wire in order to lower the starter. Its a 97 chev Silverado, 305, 2wheel drive, red. Thanks for any advice.
