Hi Wendy, Welcome to Iboats. I haven't heard of this white stripe designation except for in the NEC and CEC to identify the grounded circuit conductor (officially called the "identified conductor" or "neutral"). That said, I would not assume that someone has correctly used this protocol in your boat's system. I think you'll need to physically follow the cables to see where they connect at your engine or on a busbar somewhere. - Grandad
