Battery Charger and inverters

I have a 31 ft cruiser and do not have either battery chargers or inverter on my boat..can anyone advise on which of each of these I should use.

The 50A Charles charger is an outstanding component and way better than the factory installed component.

Avoid using an inverter, unless no other option exists.

They consume power when idle and they fail in a spectacular fashion.

If using an inverter, ensure the ignition protection requirements are followed.

What if you use a dedicated deep cycle battery for the inverter? This would be used to run a small Foreman-ish grill or a small fan in the evenings?
