I'm sure this has been answered already, but I can't find it.

I've got a bank of 4 batteries to power onboard electronics. I also have a 2 bank Guest ferro. charger (10/10amp). Either the charger isn't working (possibility), or it isn't charging fast enough to keep up with the drain (while connected to shore power).

I guess I need a new charger but am wondering what type or rating I should be looking for to keep up. (I think the biggest drain is the stereo - serves me right for connecting an amplifier!)

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Re: battery charging question

Check with the manufacturer's recommendations on how much juice to throw at them but ten doesn't sound like enough, especially if you use your boat a lot. Trojan suggests 25-30 amps per battery (deep cycle) and to use a three stage charger to prolong battery life. You might also look into a Stealth 1 charger which uses your outboard's alternator to charge the batteries while you run down the lake. Providing your outboard has an alternator.
