battery help in a 85 bayliner capri 1950

i have a 85 bayliner capri 1950 got it for a project boat. I would like to put two batterys in this boat and have one for the starting of the boat and one to run the stereo. i would like for the second battery to be charged along with the other one while i run the boat is there a way to do this also is there a switch i could use to go back and forth to charge one at a time

A Perko 2 battey switch will do you well. Both batteries will be charged when in BOTH. You can change the switch from 1 to BOTH to 2 while underway as it is a make before break type switch.
A break before make switch will screw up you alternator and electrical system if switched under load.
