Hi all,

I have a 1996 Yamaha 115HP V4 (model 115BET) and I used a digital multimeter with the engine off and the battery posts reads 12.66V. I started the engine and the voltage reading is the same even if I accelerate it.
My tachometer don't work too.
I have checked for any corroded connection and all is ok.
I suspect that the problem could be the rectifier regulator or maybe the stator under the flywheel.
How can I test with a multimeter the rectifier and/or the stator ?
Please include (if possible) the details about the tests, including color wires and a diagram if possible.
My Rectifier has 2 green wires coming from the stator and a brown wire and a black one.

Thanks in advance for any help.
Abel.

Re: Battery not charging - help please

make sure your wires are coded connected and sometimes elctrical parts get wet and just quit working internally also check all your connections for tightness and the grounds hope this helps
