Battery problem

I have a problem that I have never seen before. When I switch my battery from 1 to 2 the motor starts to act up, Surging. But when I switch back it runs like nothing ever happend. I have a new alternator and i charged the battery and still have the same problem. Could this be from the battery switch?

i would guess your #2 battery is shot.

Check, clean and tighten all connections at bat 2 plus at the switch, could be a bad switch or cable connection but most likely the battery, could also take the battery into a shop and have it load tested.

Try to start off of battery 2, that should tell you a lot about battery 2 and if your connection are clean an tight.

ok thanks, I did have the battery out for 3 days and it held a charge, but there still could be somthing wrong there. I will check all connections and see what happens. Thanks

I doubt if it is the battery but process of elimination would have me switch #1 battery to #2 and #2 to #1

So far I did find out the battery was bad would not work right when in use. But even though I changed te battery it still surges when on #2. I still have to check the connections yet.
