Battery Recommendation

Happy Sunday-
Went down to the lake today to start the boat and the battery was dead. It sat about a week. When I started refurbing this thing last year I just stuck whatever battery I had available in there to get going. I'm going to get the battery tested, but what is recommended for a VP 3.0?

My personal rule of thumb is to use the largest battery that will fit as long as it is the same voltage i.e: 12V for a 12V system.
