battery start conversion

25 hp chrysler outboard 1973-78 sorry no further info no # number (see previous posts for numbers avalible on engine)as this is a rebuild.<br />have magneto plus leads plus battry installed.<br />starts on push button start. this is all wired up as circuit but not much electrical knowledge as to why does not charge. we have workshop for this model but no wire diagram how to convert and most of the wiring have been replaced with other colours. what if anything are we missing off this circuit. how can it be completed properly as the<br />engine does not charge battery when runing.<br />if you can help with basic diagram conversion or wiring diagram would help<br /><br />thanks

louis i might not be o much help but i have an older motor and it does have electric start but no charging system but yours is newer and i would think it would get book on system might help from maze
