Hi everyone,

I just bought a 1996 Bayliner 1600 LS Capri, with a 2 stroke, 90hp Force, the old owner said that the fuel tank has a capacity of 24 gallons. Can somebody confirm that? I'm about to take the boat to the lake and I have to mix oil and fuel, and I don't want to make a mistake, thank you much for your help!!!

PS: that's the picture of my new baby, :)

Go to baylinerparts.com and you can get the parts manual for your boat and it will show what size tank it has..

you can probably verify it by the plate on top of the tank, which should be visible under an access hatch. Sometimes tanks get switched.
Anyway, determine your oil/gas while you fill it, since you can't add oil to a full tank. And even if you know the tank is bone dry empty, you can't always get it full to rated capacity.
Put in a pint, put in 6 gallons, repeat; put in half a pint, put in three gallons, repeat. That way worst case you end up with a little extra oil. it doesn't have to be precise.
