Hi,
We (wife, I, and 1 year old) are thinking of trading in our 1979 SportCraft for a new family boat, and I really like the looks of this new 180ob. I think i would prefer to go with an OB since the maintenance is so minimal.

I just wanted to send a feeler out their to see if anyone has test driven or purchased this boat. I think the MSRP is under 20k. We are also thinking of upgrading to the Merc. 115EFI, four stroke, instead of the two stroke. If anyone has any thoughts about that I would also like to hear...

We mainly just use the boat in lakes here in Central NY (no salt water) and typically just have 2-4 adults and a child or two. We don't really ski much, tube a little, nothing to crazy...

Any info would really be appreciated.

Thanks,
-Denis

Central NY=Finger Lakes, perchance?

I can't help you with your question, though. I'm a big fan of outboards in boats in this size class, however.
