Hoping for some advice on an '07 Bayliner, Discovery 192 cuddy, galvanized trailer, mooring cover, canvass package, back to back chairs on both sides (not buckets).

This 2007 is at a dealer near the Jersey/NY border.
Extremely clean entire boat - does not look like it has any hours on it at all.
I'm told it was used 1 week per year on a freshwater lake for a vacation.
the motor is spotless - you can eat off it....

Dealer listed for 14750, NADA shows 14000 average retail to 16000 high retail. She's essentially right in the middle of that, but who knows if NADA is correct.

Anyway, I know it "all depends" on what it was traded in at - but what would you think is a fair price to get the boat for - I'm not going to get killed for 500 or a grand either way - but wondered your opinion on a fair price to settle on

Thanks for any advice.

One has to put condition of the purchase at the top of the list. Having raised a large family and enjoyed water toys at the same time, I was usually looking for a bargain. It didn't take me long to realize that if you buy a piece of crap at a budget price you are just asking for it in the long run. BTDT although the biggest boondoggle was a restoration project of mammoth proportions (complete boat/engine/trailer) and an ego thing for me to complete.....but this particular boat, an 18' 1965 Starcraft Holiday I/O was "THE" boat and I just had to have one. But I did and enjoyed it (both the challenging restoration and the usage afterwards), but it wasn't cheap by any means in the long run.

If you have a pristine boat in sight and it is what you want, pay the extra bucks. In the long run you will spend less to fix what the negligent previous owner tore up on a bargain boat, spend less time at the repair shop/doing the repairs, spend fewer repair bucks, less time that you can't use the boat because it is broken, and have more time to enjoy your new toy with your family......and then when you go to bed at night and close your eyes you can rest peacefully in the solitude that you did the right thing.....BTDT

Spend the money!!!!!!!!!!
