First to avoid confusion prop size is allways written diameter X pitch 14 X 21
I don't think the 13.5 is intended for your I/O.
Prop calculator says your slip is at 32%,very high. 12-14% is more typical.
46.6 seems slow to me. I think dry weight is about 2800 lbs.
Is the lack of bow lift the prop or a hull problem.
4 blades are said to provide stern lift out of the hole and bow lift at speed.
4 blades usually won't provide the best top end. They do provide the best low to mid range performance.
Would be best if you could find a dealer that will let you test props with your intention to buy from them.
Usually requirers a deposit but at least you will know your running known good props.Your 14 X 21 doesn't appear to be doing the job.
Is the motor rated for 5200 rpm?

First check to make sure the motor is rated for 5200 rpm's. I know the Mercruiser 6.2 has a max rpm of 5200. Then I would check to make sure the tachometer is correct. If the rpm's are high I would go to a higher pitch prop. I would check for a dealer like steelespike said to see if you can test out props.

sorry about the size the wrong way around[mental block]!! which program do you use for the prop data,I realise the 4b are not good top end props, more keen on good hole shot, low bow lift and mid range,at the moment we cruise 4200-4400 60-62 kph where the motor sounds sweet and runs easy

Re: Bayliner 215 2007

I use the polson enterprises calculator.
I searched prop calculator used the 3rd one down titled prop calculator it opens in a green page.
I think the motor would be happier at 4800 w the 4b 23" than 5200 with the 21. 23 should have good hole shot
be less fussy at slow cruising speed and respond better around the dock theoretically faster at a given rpm than the 21.

Thanks for taking the time to explain that,I'll try the 23 again

Sounds like a 23 pitch might work for your setup. Try the Mercury propeller selector at the link below. At the top of the page follow the steps and it should get you where you want to be.
