Bayliner 2355 Cierra

Hello all and thanks for having me on the forum.

I am looking at a 1999 Bayliner 2355 Cierra and was just wondering if anyone here had an overall opinion or personal experiences with this model of boat.

The boat is in excellent condition inside and out, everything in working order. I'm not crazy about motor size, (5.0 Merc). The boat I have right now has a 5.7 Merc and i'm happy with it. It just seems that the 5.0 would be underpowered for a boat of this size.

Anyways, the selling price of this boat will be 19,900; trailer included.

I bought a 1998 2355 last year. It has the 5.0 Alpha I. I don't have any trouble with it being under powered, BUT it makes alot of difference how & where you use it. I use mine on inland lakes with 2 adults & 2 younger kids aboard. I have no problem getting on plane & I can cruise at about 30mph @ 3800rpm. I can pull a tube or skier no problem also. I could see that if you were to use it on the great lakes or the ocean, or with more people aboard, it could be an issue, I really don't know. But for how I use mine I am happy with the set up it is adaquate.
