Bayliner Capri Dashboard problems

Someone brought me a Bayliner Capri to look at I believe it's 19' .. texted them to find out what year but I don't know at this point. Dashboard lights up but none of the gauges are working. I didn't spend much time looking at it.. couldn't access the dash from underneath and it wasn't obvious how to get behind it to start troubleshooting so I figured I'd Google it and ask for help here. Not finding much on Google. Any experience with this dashboard is appreciated. I'm an electrician by trade so I'm sure I can help my friend with his boat if I can figure out how to get to the guts

I'm told it's a 2001 Capri 19'

I believe the gauge panel just snaps in, and the locking tab is on the bottom (you can see the rectangular hole)

however being a 21 almost 22 year old boat, assume the plastic is brittle and will snap
