Bayliner Capri - no bilge pump?

Can anyone tell me if a 1990 Bayliner capri 17ft. boat would have a bilge pump? It has an outboard force 50hp motor and somebody told me that I have a self-bailing bilge?

If this boat doesn't have a bilge pump, what happens when you hit a big wave and water gets in to the boat?

It did when it came from Bayliner, all their boats do. But what happened over the last 18 years is hard to say. Look near the transom near the keel. May be an access port you have to open.
