Hi, I have a 14' Bayliner Capri that I will be doing a floor/transom rebuild. I was thinking, would it be helpful to place a couple of small vents (kinda like floor registers) in the floor for some airflow to help dry things out in the hull? It seems water is gonna get down there one way or another, might as well give it a chance to breath/ dry. Thanks fellers.

Hi, I have a 14 Bayliner Capri, I'm going to dig into. Does anyone happen to know where all in the hull the floatation might be. I didn't know if it might be under the bow seats, and maybe in the "cubed" section in the stern corners. Thanks Zeph

IMHO NOT a good idea. If you build the floor/deck correctly there should be not water intrusion.

P.S. you should keep all of your posts in one thread.

Ayuh,.... Proper Drainage is much more important than ventilation...
