Bayliner Mutiny

Good Morning to you all,

I close freind of mine has just bought a Bayliner Mutiny 1750 and he tells me that it is in a condition of brand new, he does not know anything about Bayliners so i thought that i would ask you guys for some information on the boat.

The Ledger plate reads as follows :- 4697717759 AQ130G/270

There is a number either on the leg or the block (not sure) that says :- Volvopentre 270 2/63449DPZNR

Could any of you professionals out there please answer the following questions.

What the numbers mean?
Year of Manufacture?
Year of boat (if possible)?
BHP?
and any other bit of information that you think would beof use. Does anyone know where i may be able to get a workshop manual for her?

I know this is long winded but he is on my case to get on the web and find out more information on it so please post as much as possible to me.

My guess if you look at that number again, you will find it's an AQ130C, not G. Since they didn't make any G series.
Your serial number also didn't come up. Rather it's typed wrong or Volvo's SN Search doesn't go back that far, I can't say. So can't give a year of origin. The engines were used in the early 70's (72-74) with the C designation.

As for year of boat, hard to say without a Hull ID number, and in the early 70's, they may not have one.
You may be able to call Bayliner toll free at 877-861-6494 and see what info they can give you on boat year.
They will also send you a free copy of the boats Owners manual if you ask for it.

EDIT: Should have mentioned. For service manuals, get the Volvo manuals, not the aftermarket.
