pull the plug,,I run some anifreeze from the bow to the stern to flush any excess water out,,thru my bildge pump,,I don't have a plug,,,
I do not store anything in the boat while in storage,,,just me
List looks good
I add some moth balls in aluminum containers to keep the critters out also

do you have one of these?
fill with the apropriate antifreeze and cleaner,,run it while fogging.

Run a trickle charger for the battery. I repack my wheel bearings for the winter also. Just in case there is some water left in the hubs.

Antifreeze is not needed on an outboard. They are self draining. It would be a waste of good antifreeze.

This may sound bad, but my winterizing consists of turning off the key.

Start up in the summer is turning on the key.

I must say that my down time is fairly short compared to many people, but I just started up my bay boat from 2 years of non use and that was all it needed, cranked about 4 revolutions and fired up. Used it for 2 full days of fishing the Columbia river with no issues.

My jet boat was just started last week after a 9 month sleep, 2 seconds of cranking and it was running.

I tend to change fluids during the season to make sure everything is working well in use.
