Can you hear any noise from the motor or is it definately the switch?
If you find that the switch is just bad it really isn't that hard of a job to replace. No need going and buying an expensive "marine" switch when you can get the same piece from an auto parts store. Just slather up the connections good with some dielectric grease before installing.
