Bayliner with Mercruiser 5.0 liter

Hi, i have 1991 Bayliner Capri 2052 with a Mercruiser 5.0 liter. When warmed up and going into neutral the engine cuts out as if being switched off. Any ideas?

If it starts back up and idles, I'd look at the control box might be a safety switch though most are to not start it and not to shut it off.
