Right at a year ago, I started a BBQ trailer project.
It's pretty much done now- just have some electrical gadgets to install, and build a canopy over it.

Nice to see a boat trailer being not being wasted. Does it plane with the least effort?.... :D Seriously, that's a fantastic looking Grill/Smoker. :)

HOLY SMOKERS !!!!

Now THATS a smoker! :)

I started reading at the very beginning of your build and you said "I'm trying to do this on a tight budget", it certainly didn't end up that way, that thing is top notch.

Great job Noel!

Re: BBQ Smoker Project

Thanks y'all :)

All in all, I think I'm under $3k for the entire thing.
Didn't realize just how fast you could eat some angle iron up in a project!
Did a little horse trading along the way.

The worst part was doing it all in my driveway since I don't have a garage.
Every time I wanted to work on it, I had to drag out all the tools, (at least had a cart that they lived on) 220v cord, 120v cord, air lines etc etc... So I wouldn't even work on it unless I had a good 4-5 hours to dedicate to it, since an hour was wasted insetup/cleanup.

I made the cabinet that holds the sink from scratch, doors and all- NEVER AGAIN. Can't tell you how many hours are in that section of the trailer. Next time, I'll find a nice stainless cabinet/sink combo, and built the rest of the rig around it.

The whole project started with 2 things happening at just about the same time-
I had a running craigslist ad in the Barter section- "My 1984 F250 for your Plasma Cutter" -And a guy took me up on it with a very nice plasma cutter. .... And at the same time, I was running some phone wires at the local repair shop (family friend owns it)... he was in the process of taking out that big blue water tank that had a pin hole. -"Can I have that?"

Shoot, I need a trailer to put this on.... hey look, a cheap boat trailer on Craigs list...
....crap, that's a lot of space..... Hmm, maybe a grill... etc etc
