We all talk about problems with our boats, and what we can do to fix them. Many times on this board we are dealing with boats that loose power, don't start or don't shift. Sometimes we talk about total loss of electrical power on our boats. Two days ago, in my "pool" on the Ohio River, four people got killed when their houseboat lost all electrical power(at night) and the boat was dead in the water. A barge hit the houseboat while everyone was down below trying to fix the problem. Please remember, a boat that has mechanical or electrical problems is a danger to everyone around it. Please be careful and aware if you are working on a boat that has serious "issues".

Thats sad . Boating can be very dangerous. I always try to get out of the channel at the first sign of a problem, if possible as close to shore as I can.

There is no cure for stupidity. For NO ONE to be put on watch above board is .........I can't think of a word......no radio, cell phone ..?

Heard about that up here waterone... what a tragedy. That's one reason why you are to have flares.
