I blew my 1994 Yammy lower and gears are OK,but wondering if ANYONE had luck welding cracks from behind prop up to the end of the carrier.? It just cracked,I found oil leaking when hauled,LUCKY I know.But thinking Id like to weld,but lookin like I need replacement.Any ideas R appreciated.I realize it a yammy,but the welding .could be anyones input.Thanks guys.$$$ are short.

A picture might help us see how far the crack went, but if it is past a sealing surface, then it seems like that would have to be re-machined to get a good sealing surface after wielding crack inside and out.
May not be worth the time and trouble.
Just an opinion
