Been kinda absent for a while, heres why

The times that I have been on is because I was too exhausted. As you may remember I am going to build a new house soon. We need a place to store supplies so I decided to build a garage/carport. Each measures 24X24 for a total of 24X48. It has a 2/12 pitch roof, wood frame( all except for roof truss'es are treated) 4" slab with permiter beams about 12", 4X6 framing members set anywhere from 2-3 1/2 feet deep below the concrete level. I still have to add the big door, it'll be a simulated carriage style, 16X8. I owe my in-laws big time as they helped all along the way, way too much work for them to be doing in their retired years. Both them and my parents helped out on money/finaciaing which was a heck of a help in keeping the house money intact. Whatcha think?

Look in the first pic. In the bottom left corner you can see some stakes. The piers are poured for the house. Should start on it in the next couple of weeks. I've got water and electricity on site now. Thinking about going ahead with the septic before they build so I don't have to worry with it. I'll post pics of it as we go along too.

Actually myboat already has a home. Now don't go thinking its a big boat sitting in a harbor somewhere. Its a 14' jon boat with a 7.5 hp Johnson. Its home is tied up in a raggadey boathouse that lets more water in than out. It is a toybox though. The daughters '64 Elky ought to be movin' in real soon, along with tha tools. My home away from home.

Looks like the trailer is worth about 10 times as much as the car..... Uhhhhh.... make that a 100 8)
