Beeping Optimax

Hey guys I have a 2006 115 Mercury optimax and it throws a 4 beep alarm every 2 minutes with the engine running and it also alarms when the engine is cold and off with the key on. From talking to a few people and picking through a few forums I figured it might be either the float or the sensor. But also whenever I would get on step it would throw a long alarm and when I backed off it stopped and threw a 3 beep alarm. I believe nothing mechanically is wrong with it and was thinking about disconnecting the sensor itself and just manually monitor the oil levels and carry on. Thanks

Do you know what the 4, 3 and long beeps mean? Are they oil related? I would find out for sure before disabling the sensor. It would be worth while to visit a dealer to have codes read.

Yes the 4 beeps mean low oil and the 3 means oil sensor.
